the guy writes keyboard firmware. As far as i know, his stuff is one big leap in keyboard tech today. In particular, two-way communication with the operating system. There are huge amount of possibilities. For example, in emacs or vim, valid key lights up when leader key or control key is pressed. Or, in a game or video editor, key lights up by function, etc. (he already implemented lot of them, and will be usable when keyboard Keyboardio comes out. [see Keyboardio Review])
