​Have you considered using a Wacom? I am experimenting with it but I think I need to get the emacs basics down before I try configuring the tablet. It makes artist-mode lots of fun though

​I really like the trackman marble. I use it with my left hand, and do button-presses on a keypad with the right hand. Before I used an old trackman for 10+ yrs but it's for right hand only ...

​@Giuliano Franco Palazzi I'm not sure which one you are referring (with only a ball), but I would work just as well I guess. Yes, I emulate button clicks with autohotkey, on an extra numpad

​@Xah Lee A couple of months ago I bought the best mouse with a lot of buttons, I could find. It's the SteelSeries Rival 500. Best mouse I have ever used. It has a unique button layout.
