this new ribbon user interface, provides both keys and graphical buttons, the latter can be use by pointing device easier than menu, and also more recognizable than menu for reading.

George says: Vista hid menu bars in explorer in 2006, office went to ribbon in 2007, chrome released in 2008, Firefox copied shortly after.
