How to Make Video Games

just finished watching this

basically it's teaching making a simplist pong game using unity. It is, extremely complex and incomprehensible. great tutorial, but also not exactly what am looking for. It basically teaches using API and engines. though, the way i imagined, is i want to learn drawing images, how input move them, how to get sound to play, how to detect collision, how to code the AI.
