Faaking google. Since maybe 2016, whenever you read/open a email, the sender knows. EVEN IF YOU HAVE HTML TURNED OFF. I know this cuz whenever i got spam solicitation of guest blog or recruiter, if i open it, then, they'll write a follow up.
Now, you have to disable images in email. Google used to say, they prevent image tracking. Apparently not now.
