c cpp hacker mentality
after 30 years, i have a understanding of the c cpp unix type of coders.
it has to do with a classification of personality in psychology.
the c cpp type of people, are doers, and hackers, but incapable of abstract thinking or design, or architectural view.
when u (e.g. you are a haskell fan, or scheme lisp fan) argue with c cpp fans, technicality isnt at play, just that the c cpp folks never, ever, appreciate beauty elegance or design. These concepts are foreign to their lifestyle. (or rather, their concept of them is just hacking, make things work, speed.)
classic representation is John Carmack. (maybe Bjarne Stroustrup too but i dont know him much to say.).
its similar to diff types of people, say scientists, engineers vs businessmen, lawyers...
most people are a mix in between, but am illustrating a point.
