No like, cuz fundamentally it's not a real-time position-control pointer device.
With mouse, trackball, touchpad: you manipulate the pointer position directly. The speed of pointer movement corresponds to the speed of ur movement.
With trackpoint, it is effectively a joystick with acceleration. The more push in a direction, the more velocity (rate of speed), but there is no direct control to speed. Therefore, less efficient, slower, and more aiming.
