Best Video Camera for Vlogger
Need to upgrade my $50 webcam so i can do better keyboard reviews.
After some research, these are the commonly recommended ones, expensive, around $700.
These are so-called for beginner vlogger. But actually, it's cooked up by YouTubers so that they can make money. The more expensive items you buy from their links, the more they make. These are actually for beginner professional video creators.

shopping a camera rant
- gah, spend another 2 or 3 hours watching cam reviews.
- seems, so simple a task, but impossible.
- basically, i need a vid cam, that can do livestream (require USB out, or so-called clean hdmi out), and be able to close up on keyboard say 10 cm close, aka macro shot. and of course, auto focus that works. that's about all i need.
- no need mega pixals. no need other faaking jargon shit.
- no need bluetooth, no need wifi, etc.
- but this simple thing, is impossible to find, if u don't want to pay the mirroless faak or the lensese faak or other fancy shit faaak the photographers.
- (btw, little side rant. photographers, r empty elite faakheads, much like fontographers are. they live on fancy jargons, but actually dunno shit.)
- (and, apparently, there are one hundred thousand million these photo faakheads idiots bro, reviewing stuff and jargons. eg like joe rogan, etc.)
- ok, back to topic.
- first of all, what i want is simple to obtain. spend basically $500 to $600 to begin with. sony, canon, etc. one million youtubers will sell them to u. as 'beginner vlogger camera'.
- typically these is 20 megapixel, 4k or more, etc.
- but i no need them.
- and i truly despise, the cameras with interchangable lenses.
- whenever i see some one with it, the guy registers in my mind as idiotic faak.
- anyhow, continue the story.
- and u look at the 'webcam' scene. u see that, logitech, legato, et al, sell $200 or $300 ones.
- but after u read much, u see that, they are really scams.
- also, after days and days of watching tens of reviews, u realize, either their auto-focus doesn't work, like the logitech ones, constanstly blurring in n out, or, they are fixed focus, so anything closer than 20cm they can't do.
- that's good option but the problem seems to be, i need to get the software. i don't mind paying $10. but i think the issue is, lots hours gonna be spend fiddling, checking if iphone or android version is or is not available, and usually i don't wanna go thru apple store, it require id... .... and basically then i have to figure out about , i have 2 iphone each is about 6 years old with dead battery, so i need to research on fixing the battery, or buy a battery attachement, then figure out a clamp that can work with phone when i wanna stream....
using phone as livestreaming cam
2023-03-23 from lunarus (aka digitalmoon)
- I think a used iPhone or Samsung phone might be your best bet if you don't want to get a capture card
- DroidCam is the one I use for webcam since I don't own a webcam
- Has an OBS plugin as well
- $5 to unlock HD iirc
- It's on iOS as well
- I use it on an iPhone XS
- Give it a try, the HD you can try for free if you watch an ad every hour.
- Stumbled on this as well, it supports using multiple iPhones for multiple camera angles: https://obs.camera/ they aren't up front about the price on the website, but it apparently has a free trial. Also forgot to mention that DroidCam is a one time purchase, no subscription bullshit
- continue my saga of shopping for a livestream cam
- currently looking at Panasonic LUMIX FZ80 4K Digital Camera Buy at amazon
- now having spend a month looking at cam tech... i know that what i really what, is a cam corder. not vid camera.
- btw, u can ask chatgpt, it'll tell u the diff.
- basically, camcorder is still a thing, n have a definition.
- basically, it's a device designed for recording video.
- while vid cam (aka camera), are devices that mostly, is designed for photo first. vid second.
- and the major practical diff is that, camcorder have huge optical zoom, and can stay focus while zooming. vid cam can't.
- while vid cam, u can have effect such as blur in background. which in my opinion, is shit.
- when u search for camcorder, the results are like $1k or $2k ones
- but if u limit to $400, u get a bunch china cheapos cheap camcorder
- amazing china cheapos ORDRO Camcorders HDV-V12 HD 1080P Video Camera Buy at amazon
- ORDRO Camcorders HDV-V12 HD 1080P Video Camera Recorder Infrared Night Vision Camera Camcorders with 16G SD Card and 2 Batteries
jisus. ordro is a scam. china cheapo scam
